Baking Normals Problem



Hello,

so I started baking a character of mine today. I managed to bake everything except these bracers.

Now…
I checked the normals of both low and high-poly models…
Recalculated both…
Low-poly model is unwrapped and has a texture…
In the “Bake” tab, ‘Selected to active’ is enabled…
1st I select the high then the low-poly model…
In the picture the two models are on top of each other, I just moved them so people can see them…
I unwrap the low poly mesh using ‘Smart UV project’…

In the image texture, you can see I get zero results.

What else…Any ideas would be really appreciated.

That will happen if your high poly is not set to visible in the render, check your outliner. If it’s not that post the .blend.

It is beyond me how that happened.

Ctrl+H is the shortcut key to hide an object from render (ctrl+alt+H to unhide). Maybe you pressed that when grouping (ctrl+G) or joining (ctrl+J) objects, assuming you’re using a qwerty keyboard.
