Baking Particle Hair (fur) Into a Texture

I have a model that needs to have fur but needs to be a textured. I was thinking if it’s possible to bake particle hair as a texture particularly with a normal texture as well.

If it is possible what’s the best approach for this?

No normal maps tough… I’ll look a bit further on that one.

At the end of the video, he bakes a map using Xnormal. There is also an option on baking normal maps in this application but I believe there is a blender-only solution as well.
