Baking Points in Geometry Nodes

Is it possible to bake points from geometry nodes? I attached an image, and in it I’m using geometry nodes to make points that determine the position of the ‘scales’ that cover the outside of the plant. I have animated the plant to change scale, but as time goes on the new points are assigned during every frame, so it appears as if there are scales disappearing and appearing every frame. If I apply the geometry node modifier, then it has the ‘scales’ on the plant but when I scale the plant the ‘scales’ scale as well. If I could bake the point’s positions (I believe particles are able to), then I would be able to scale the plant while having the ‘scales’ keep the same size and position on the plants mesh. Not sure if this is possible yet, but either way please let me know. Thanks
