Baking shape key into mesh

Does anyone know if it is possible to bake the changes in shape keys to the basis mesh?

I can export the shape key to an external format, and then import the new mesh.

I don’t know if there’s a better way, but here’s one way to do it. Set up and pose all your shape keys to look the way you want, and then add a NEW shape key, and that shape key will get its new shape from ALL the combined deformations of the other shape keys, you can delete all the other shape keys, including the basis, so that the ‘baked’ shape key will be the last remaining shape. Then just delete the last shape key, the ‘baked’ one and the mesh will be left deformed
