Hey.
I have been working with smoke a couple of days now, and I try to “optimize” it and therefor I Bake All Dynamics in the Domain nowandthen just to see how it looks, but now - no matter what I do, no matter how many times I recreate a domain and a Plane (emitter) when I try to “Bake All Dynamics” it doesn’t allow me to, and nothing shows up.
I have followed the Guide from BlenderGuru.com, and I know it inside and out now - all the settings are identical to the first time (when it worked) and now it does not work. When I create a Domain & Emit object and save it, the file goes from 17mb to 25mb. Delete it it goes from 25 to 17. SO there’s something there but nothing’s there. There’s no smoke, there’s no nothing.
If I start up a whole new project and do EXACTLY (to the letter) the same thing, all the steps all the settings - wow, it works! So… How the hell can Blender be so damn stubborn or stupid not to let me continue with my scene? The only way out is to restart the whole damn project and import everything to a new project and do it over and over until the same thing happening (because I want it good, it will therefor take time).
Anyone with any ideas why this is happening?
When I press “Bake All Dynamics” (settings are and has always been identical, and it’s worked flawless before - not anymore) it goes to a 100% in about 0.5-1 second and there’s no smoke rendering - although there has been previous.
