Baking texture to vertex colours - Hard edges?

Hi, I’m trying to bake a texture to the vertex colours in blender, but I’m getting unwanted color blending between vertices…Is there anyway for force “hard edges” between the verts?



First pic is the texture, second is baked vertex colors. While I know it won’t be exactly like the texture, an approximation is fine.

Try and split the edges where the colors meet. Think it can stay as one object. Disconnection by color should avoid the interpolation across the faces.
