hi! i’d like to call this my finished project.
i was supposed to make a realistic piece of bamboo, but i ended up doing this :spin:. it looks ceramic now. it’s kinda hard to make all the textures. did all this using gimp and my (our) beloved blender… C&C are most welcome.
You can use solid yellowish green on shiny skin section and it will look real. Yellow on the bark with some noise texture and it should look fine. Haven’t tried it though.

Ok about the bamboo, make the bamboo a little longer and put like a lot off them to make a sort of a “bamboo field”

i think it’ll stay that way for a bit. we use such lengths (of the bamboo) to make barbeque sticks! 
split it into smaller pieces of course. what’s more popular with it is “banana-que” replace the pork in the pork barbeque with banana dipped in boiling oil with lots of sugar. yum!
