Base Mesh gets messed up whenever I try to sculpt with constant detail

I am starting to get into 3D modelling and sculpting, and I already have a glitch after creating my base mesh in Blender 2.8. Starting out, my base mesh had clean enough topology for sculpting on top of it.Sculpting without dynamic topology is fine. However, when I turned on dynamic topology with constant detail, the mesh started to tear apart when I switched back to object mode. The topology is also messed up when I looked at it in edit mode. Keep note that no other mode besides constant had that glitch. I would really appreciate to know what’s going on, and the help I need on how to fix it. Thank you
