Hey, first off want to say that I’m sure there are sufficient walk cycle tutorials out there, but being my first blender tutorial I wanted to start out with something simple. In the future I’ll try cover less common subjects. Please leave feedback to let me know how I did, and I hope it helps someone!
I was looking for a tutorial on how to repeat a walk action and this just did it.
That was the simplest explanation of a walk cycle I’ve ever watched – and I don’t mean that as a bad thing. Simple is great with tutorials! I had never seen anyone do it quite the way you did it there by first doing the walking motion and then adding the forward motion as a second action.
Is it possible at the end of that to combine them both into one new action?
Nice job. I purchased the BlenderCookie animation bundle which goes nto much much greater detail, but your tutorial, specifically the minute on the NLA editor, helped with my understanding. And I completely agree with MarkJoel60 that, your tutorial is about the simplest walk cycle tutorial out there.
Good job! I will be watching for more tutorials from you!
