I have just got some textures from a friend, but he has all the diffuse maps and normal maps on the same image side by side. I need a way to split the images down the middle, and save each side separately. There is over 200 images so I really don’t want to do it by hand.

What operating system are you using ?
What image editing software do you already have ?
I am using both Mac OSX and Windows 7, and I am using Gimp for most of my image editing with a few other smaller programs on the side.
I guess the ideal situation would be just a plugin for automator that split each image along the 50% line vertically and saved each image as [image name]left and right. But I don’t know if such a plugin exists.
