Batch importing .obj files into blender 2.8

No mater how many objects you select, it’ll only import one of them.
Now I’m stuck with a huge kitbash library that I have to import one by one.
What a lack of such a basic feature. come on blender devs.

Anyways, anyone got a proper solution? I already know there’s a script for blender 2.7x but I’m talking blender 2.8 exclusively here.

I’m using this one for batch import (I know there are a couple other one’s as well, some are a bit tedious to set up) -

It works but it takes a while. Fingers crossed for the gsoc fast import export.
