This looks very good. Can you tell me how you made the staircase? :eyes:

This is fantastic! I particularly like the grading. All individual parts of the renders look so cohesive. Beautiful.

Thanks! Experimenting with lighting and compositing took more time than modeling.

Damn, I tried the video, I tried the comments, I spent the last 4 hours on this, but on my end, the damage just looks terrible and in the end I also can’t figure out how to smooth it

Thanks king! I see the error of my ways. Other than the adjustable stuff from the damage shape, my mistake was putting the shade smooth after the boolean :skull:

I was gonna have a headache tomorrow cause of that 1 node lmao :folded_hands:

FYI: when the studio was building the scene for “Psycho”, it was on a standard studio lot, just like a housing development.

So to get the effect of the house being up on a hill and further away from the motel, they built the house at 3/4 scale! All the camera shots used forced perspective.

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

You’re on the featured row! :+1:

That’s really good ! I really like the “painting” quality of the image, probably because while it’s realistic every detail is pretty well crafted, nicely composed and everything reads pretty well, to a point it looks more like an illustration than an actual realistic image, but in a good way !

Somehow, this house reminds me of the one from "Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events". I don’t know why; it just gives me the same strange vibe.
love this render btw.
