got bored of my other alien so started this one any ideas on how to improve the model as well as the textures(need major help there) are more than welcome as are c&c’s
Well, for one thing, procedural textures are generally crummy, I wouldn’t count on them helping your render.
And for another thing there seems to be a chunk taken out of the front of his face, like above his mouth has been extruded inwards. His nose is also wedge-shaped, without any real form to it. I mean, the over-all form of the face isn’t bad, it just needs some tweaking.
Make sure all the modeling is done, then start texturing. Why did you cut his nose in half, by the way?
Thought id see how it would look and its not CUT just extruded inwards a bit maybe to much??( u don’t like it )

Another update im happy with the rocks but not the landscape work on that later hopefully someone will comment

Nah, it’s only been a couple hours; things don’t always go that fast. I poked my head in earlier and thought “Hm, looks neat, don’t really have anything useful to say” and so didn’t.
On the desaturated one, the sapphireistic eyes look pretty neat. The rocks/mountains in the background look kinda strange but I figured that was the intent, anyway.
Thanx Star Weaver makes me feel a little better but its been more like 24 hours since anybody has replied
O.o I looked at the timestamps and I somehow read them all as being from the 22nd, so like this whole thread was 4 hours long . . . checks brain
