Beginner at all-artificial lighting. Kitchen.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here at Blender Artists. I have been following Andrew Price’s and BlenderGuru’s youtube tutorials on how to use Blender.

I came here to get some advice on lighting my scene. I have played around with HDR lighting and lighting scenes that way, but I wanted to give myself a new challenge to try.

In this scene I have, I wanted to completely light a kitchen scene using only artificial lights. What I have posted is a quick render of what I have so far. The only lighting I have is some pot lights under the cabinets and the ceiling, as well as a plane mesh with an emissions texture on it.

What would you suggest I would do for this project? Is there a trick to doing an all artificial lighting scene? Or should I steer away from trying to do this?
