Hi all.Firstly i am a beginner over the last week at Blender.I have just built a new pc on budget to use only for this software.Its cost me all i can aford at the moment but any hints in things which i might need please let me know.
Athlon 2400+ xp 2008mhz
Monitor philips 17"
Gygabyte 7 vac mb
512 memory ddr pc 2700
geforce 4 440mx 128mb ddr x8
onboard sound
western digital 8,200rpm 20gig drive (small i know but i think it will do for a while till i get up to speed)
dvd rom lite on
lg cd-rw
Anything else please let me know.
I intend to take it as a hobby and who knows maybe more serious as time goes bye.
I have no experience in python prg but i did join the python org mailing list to try and get info on the subject and so on.
Thanks for any help on this ,and the tutorials are fantastic just hope i can grasp them better as i continue on in the developing off my learning.

As for your PC, well, the speed of the processor would be a good idea to put down. Seems well suited for the job from the looks of it though. Oh, and you don’t need python in the beginning stages. Actually, you dont need python at all if you dont want to write your own scripts or help develop blender in the long run. Oh well. Just my 0.03 EEK

Just a Thanks to everyone for the welcome.I am sure i will be needing help at some point ,though the FAQ seams to be a great resource off info which i need .
