Beginner question: How to replace objects?

Hello

I have modeled a spaceship in Google Sketchup and managed to import this model into Blender because UV-Mapping and texturing, as well as rigging and rendering are parts, which SketchUp cannot do very well.
I have successfully managed to texture the Hull and UV-Unwrap one of the Turrets (the model has 8 big and 12 small ones) but it took me almost 2 hours to do it. To avoid doing this UV-Unwrapping to every turret, i want to replace the other turrets with the already UV-Unwrapped one.
Is it possible to copy and then paste the copied turret-object at exactly the same position, where the “old” one is/was?

I assume each turret is a separate object
Select all the turrets and then select the uv unwrapped turret (this must be the last object selected). Then Ctrl+L / object data. This will copy the object data from the active object (last one selected) to all the other objects. All objects are now linked. Change one and all the others change. If you then want them all to be individuals, select them all and U / object data to make them single users.

Alternatively use Ctrl+L / join as UVS to copy uv data from one object to another (same mesh)

Alternatively use the 3d curser. Select one turret, Shift+S / curser to selected. Delete it. Duplicate your good turret with Shift+D, the move it to the curser with Shift+S/selected to curser.

Note that without seeing your scene (please screenshots, link to your blend file next time. It makes things 100x easier to help you with a specific answer rather than having to rely on guesswork of your particular situation) these may not be applicable.

Thank you. I think, this was exactly what I was looking for.

Is it possible to rig the turrets with this method too, but move them independently afterwards?

Btw. I wanted to add the Blender-File, but it doesnt work somehow. is there a limit to the file-size? The ZIP i can create from the Blender-File is about 6MB big.
