before press generate rig every bones worked well with their vertex group weight paints
but after pressing generate rig , when i move the generated rig it doesn’t move
my question : how 2 parent my mesh 2 generated rig with weighted paint

I think you forgot to move the rig in pose mode rather than object mode !
I think you are using rigify wrong…
You don’t want to weight your mesh to the ‘metarig’. The ‘metarig’ is for defining bone placement. The intended workflow is to add a ‘metarig’ to your character. Then in edit mode for the ‘metarig’ you move the bones around to match your mesh. For example, your character has a large head, so the ‘metarig’ head bone should be large as well. Once the ‘metarig’ fits the character, then you generate the actual rig that will deform your character.
The generated rig will have several bone layers and one of those bone layers will have the deform bones that will actually deform the mesh. Your mesh needs to be weighted to these deform bones.

I think you need to align the rig -again- in edit mode. There are tutorials available on youtube. It depends which version of blender you are using also. Type “Rigify” into youtube or include your blender version in your search criteria and see what comes up.
