UPDATE: September 06, 2003

French translation online!! special thanks too Serialsiner for doing the translation!!

French Translation is available at: http://reblended.com/www/upgrdman/Tutorial/part1_french.html

I have also setup a new homepage for my collection of Yable/Yafray tutorials. Its at the address of the old tutorial I linked to a week or two ago in this thread…

http://reblended.com/www/upgrdman/Tutorial/

that is where the various parts of the tutorial in this seriers will be linked to, as well as any translations. check it out, and i would reccomend you bookmark that url (if you want to bookmark it at all) instead of just part 1 of the tutorial, so you can find any new or translated parts of the tutorial easily

so far, part one is still the only part done… any day now, possibly tonight, i will begin work on part 2.

thanks for all the support you guys have given me… its what i thrive on.

i have been writting a beginners guide on how to use yable and yafray for several hours now. it has TONS of renders and example  so it should be quite useful to beginners…

this part of the tutorial covers almost all of the Global Settings tab of yable.

if i even have the energy and drive to write the 2nd and 3rd parts to this tutorial, it will cover the material and lighing tabs as well. but in the mean time, im thinking of taking a short break from writing the tutorial, so i decided to post it as it is so far–which should be very usful to beginners.

one note: many of the pix in the tutorial are fairly big, because many are PNGs. i was going to covert them to jpegs, but i havnt gotten around to it yet…so dial up users will probably notice the page will still be loading for a little while. but by the time you read the paragraphs, the relative pix should have downloaded.

so now to the url:

http://reblended.com/www/upgrdman/Tutorial/

comment on it please

thanks,

farrell farahbod

 Thanks very much for this, I was waiting for some kind soul, to help me out, please do the rest if you can.

Thanks

Great and really useful job, thanks! Sure yuo spent a lot of time on this… this is really appreciated.
Now, waiting for the rest of the tut…

Env

I find the pictures with corresponding settings extemely helpfull.
It saves me hours of time fidlin gall the controls and rendering to see what it does

thanks guys

ya right now im taking a little break from tutorial writing…but i will probably start work on part two of the tutorial in about 2-4 weeks, and have it finished in 3-5 weeks. high school is starting up again, so thats part of why im taking a little break.

i will be sure to update this thread when i finished and upload the next part of my tutorial.

Thanks upgrdman,

That’s a very useful tut you’ve done and oh BTW, I’ve translated it to French. I PM it to you right now, so if you want to put it on line that would be kind for french blenderheads.

Thx,

Serialsiner.
