In 3dsmax you can add a modifier called “bend” to an object so you can bend it a custom angles. Now what’s the best way to do this in blend? Thanks!
Try the adding a lattice, then add a lattice modifier, it might be something like what you describe.
IIRC blendercookie has a tut or quick tip on it. If not and you have problems, post again and someone will help I’m sure.
Nope that didn’t do what I wanted. :C But thanks for showing me a very useful modifier.
As a note, the simple deform modifiers only work around the Z axis of your object. Placing the axis correctly is key. A reference object can be used as well for deformation around it’s Z axis.
