I want to animate a bend in a mesh I tried it using bones but my mesh got awful deformed. Because there is no falloff, I could make a snake like bones model, but that would be a lot of work
Here is how it is now:

There should be a nice bend in it that I can animate.
How you deformations look will depend on the number of verts in your mesh. You can create your own fall-off by weight painting the mesh with the bone selected.
Or if the only thing you want to do is make a simple bend in the shape that you can animate, look at using a shape key. This will let you model the exact look of the deformation you want and then animate between the oringal mesh and the deformend mesh.
It looks like you have a really huge monitor…
anyway…
The solution is to use a curve to deform the mesh. Insert a curve and select “curve” in the modifiers stack on the mesh you wish to deform.
But like DichotomyMatt says a nice deformation depends on the number of verts in your mesh.
