What would be the best way to create a bloody/slime trail behind some object to make it look like it came from some direction, i don’t need it for animation but for one shot, so I would like to avoid fluid simulation. I would like it not to look like pure blood but more like diluted blood if you understand me. What would be best way to do it?
Grab some paint, drop it in some surface, brush it until you get the texture you’re looking for, and take a picture. You can later use it as a mask, coloring it, etc.
Any other way will be complex to create, and difficult to get it right.
Is that more of a question about how to setup the material, or about the texture? For the latter the approach of @Black_Cloud might not be bad. But also, did you take look at Dynamic Paint? I believe it would be more suitable than Fluid Sim (and much faster).

You can literally "paint’ a surface with a texture in Blender, and this would probably be a very good place to start. Just grab your digital paintbrush, drop a few choice globs in a few choice spots, and call it good.
