Bevel modifier going weird!

Hello everyone!

I’m pretty new using blender and generally new using 3d modeling tools!
I’m working on a chair, i started from a plane


added a subsurf and a solidify modifier


But when i try to bevel, this is what happens!:frowning:


I can’t understand why it’s happening! i tried applying scale with CTRL+A, deleting the vertex and recreate one to see if the problem was solved, but nothing changed.
If this can help, i’ve also seen that if i try to select the external loop, the selection stops exactly in that vertex!

Hi - you have to use a Limit Method in the Bevel Modifier. In this case Angle will do it. This way only the edges that are sharper then a angle you type in are beveled. Without it the modifier bevels every edge in the object (also the ones that are added with the subdivision surface modifier) which results in this artifacts.
