Bevel with way too many vets

I made a curve.
I converted it to mesh.
I made my model.
last thing messes up.
when I bevel all the verts that are so close together, the bevel goes haywire.

How can I reduce the number of verts on that turn.

There’s no escaping that, you’ll be getting a lot of overlap if the verts are very close together. Mesh Machine has an “UnF*ck” option to ease out overlap but even that can only work if the bevel is shallow enough that the overlap isn’t extreme. The only answer in that case is to do a limited dissolve, or checker select the verts and dissolve verts to reduce the danger of overlap.

what I did was make the shape I need with 3 verts making a triangle. Then I beveled the 3 verts allowing me to choose how many added verts were used to create the curve. Now I have to figure what all I need to do to 3D print this object. Its a plastic insert for my garage door. Thanks for your helpful comments.

Looking at that, I would of just dissolved some of those edges, to create N-Gons, (not an issue that I can see as the surface is flat & planar). So only the inner was using the bevel, then let the export take care of triangulation. If you are wanting that inner bevel to go beyond the other edges you wil ldefinitely have problems. If this is for 3D printing I’m guessing the shape is precise and you are bevelling to the mm.
Dunno if you have seen Cad–Sketcher & Cad Transform, for 3D printing stuff, that might be the way forwards for this.
