Bevelling problem.

Hello , can anyone please tell me how to bevel/round the edges? it seems to be pinching in that position, I am trying to get a nice rounded edge . Also is there a way to smooth & make the faces on the interior please?

thanks , Ed.

Sorry forgot it’s 2.48a.

basically to get a nice bevel, you need to be able to create edge loops around the part that is to be beveled. This usually means that triangles should be avoided, unless they are placed so that they share one side with the edge that is beveled. If the triangle only has one vertice on the beveled edge, it will cause some unwanted deformation.

Alright I see , so no apexes of triangles pointing towards the bit I want bevelled then, I will have a play around with it  thanks. Ed.

If you are looking to do simple things like sprockets with holes and some beveling you can look into working with curve objects also. I prefer subsurf for that stuff. Mario is correct about edge loops for poly modeling with beveling however if you stick to that route.
