BGE lights setup - casting shadows - 2.54

Hey everyone, I’ve been working with blender for almost 4 years now, and last week I decided to try and started working with the BGE… not for games, but some interactive project presentations would be pretty nice…

The fact is that all I thouhgt I knew about lights setup and stuff for rendering just don’t work, lol. Some questions…

  1. Could you show me some links to tuts? I’m really interested in BGE, I just got to get it right.

  2. All I did can de resumed to: achieve a hard and too dark shadow by setting a spot light in GLSL mode. Are there other ways to achieve nice light effects in BGE? Even if it means faking the lights.

  3. I tryed baking AO and shadows, but i get some black lines (from the UV generated image) on the seams marks. How can I fix it?

4) Also, can I animate an object in the defaut timeline and make it collide with rigid body objects within BGE??

Thanks a lot, and I’m sorry about my english…

  3. I have no clue. Maybe double edges or wrong normals.

  4. I don’t know what you mean with the default timeline. But with IPO’s and animation works.
