Big Update to 3D Paper mill project

Hello all.
I have made some bog updates to the paper mill- A project for school where I was required to model a historic building. (I would recommend this assignment to any 3D teachers)

WOW. reading the making of was really interesting! i have never done accurate architectural modelling, so it was very interesting to read about.

I like your idea of using dupliframes for the fence, and the bump map with displacement for the corrugated iron! (i would have modelled it by hand. ugh) OH! and your circular array of spots for and area-light effect.

excellent.

cbarton,

Your wite up of all the techniques and considerations involved in the project are very much appreciated. It reminds me of the detailed ‘making of’ sections of Rustboy for example.

You used Blender’s capabilities (and other open source software) to realize your project, and didn’t focus on what may or may not be ‘possible’.

Excellent job.

:o :o :o
nice job… very detailed!!! and as one of the others wrote, you did made the emphasis on what you can do rather than waht you can’t… very nice indeed! one thing troubles me though, but as one who have the same computing problams (i’ve got only 64 mags of RAM, shhhhh, don’t tell nobody) I realy can’t make any bad reviews, but although your texturing is superb the mill’s walls looks as if they were polished, and not as rough as a brick wall with many windows should look. But apart of that the rendering are magnificent and the lighting is realistic and well made. clearly, you made an effort, and it is showing, so keep make beautiful complex projact but most of all stay optimistic cause that all you need
