bit map to curve object script

bit map to curve script

I require a simple python script to be run in blender 2.66.

Im not exactly sure what it would look like in python but here is an out line mostly in English:

#######################################
For i in range(startframe, endframe):
render image # renders a frame in the animation … the image will be black and white and will render a simple shape .

convert bit map image to vector toolpath / trace file.svg. # There is an open source library for this already so just use it

Import file.svg to blend file as curve object. at xyz posithon with i_ name. # an svg import script already comes with blender!

advance one frame

###################################End of script

Basically all the hard work that this scrip will do is already coded in other open source library’s, so this should be a very easy task.

There are lots of open source options that could be used to create the curve from the bit map.
