Bizarre rendering behavior

I’m currently working on a model I found on the internet. It displays perfectly fine. However, when rendering, the result looks incredibly bizarre.

The screenshots are in order of: in display pane, in camera view, and in render.

  1. What’s causing the gooey effect thing on the rendered model and
  2. Why is her face purely made up of wireframe on the rendered model?

Try switching the renderer to cycles.
