[bl2.80] Adding image sequence in VSE, why adding manually

Im really new to the VSE part in blender. I was trying to render out a video from a sequence i made. I bumped into something which seems weird to me.

Why when adding an image sequence in the video editor do you need to select the images manually? In the compositor you can check an option “sequence”. I do understand that perhaps you dont want all of the images. But selecting them all by hand is tedious.

I would expect something like a frame input. So you simply add min and max and only those frames get imported. Super easy, super handy

Why isnt there an option “Image sequence”? I mean the function already says it?

I press A to select all images. Generally there are no other files inside the image sequence folder so it works fine for me.

Yes that’s van be done but that’s not always the case. What I don’t get is why in other places it does have a checkbox for image sequence.

I’ll check if can make something my self

To bad i made a bug post, but they say its a feature and would be handy . But they closed the it :frowning:
