Black edges around non-transparent pixels

I created a very basic flame animation in GIMP. I saved each frame as a separate transparent PNG file.:cool:

When I attach this animation as an alpha texture to a plane, there’s an ugly outline around non-transparent objects. It doesn’t matter if I import the flame texture trough the texture panel or trough nodes, or even create the sprite on a black background and use black as transparent colour – the result is the same: a dark outline. :eek: Am I doing something wrong? :spin:

I made a screen shot comparison of the gimp window with the flame manually added to the picture (top) and same thing done in blender using a plane and alpha settings.

I actually looks OK when added to a normal scene. I can live with that.
