black lines in baked texture

Hey everyone, I ran into a problem when I wanted to bake a texture in cycles from a mesh containing multiple objects.
I’m getting black borders where the objects are intersecting.

it’s not a problem of resolution, I tried that already :smiley:

does anyone know how I can avoid these?

Could try baking selected to active and use a cage

whoa, never heard of that, can you explain how to do that?

EDIT: To add some info, the mesh I’m trying to bake is one single mesh containing multiple intersecting objects, so I don’t understand how “selected to active” could work in this case

The object is duplicated twice. One is scaled along normals a bit to get the cage, one is where to bake from, and one to bake to.

I see, but do they have to be at the same position?
