Hi. I have imported a .3ds file from an architect, but there seems to be some artifacts. When I try to render, some black planes appear out from nothing. They do not show up as anything in the outliner, and can not be highlighted and deleted. See the Attached preview and rendered screenshots. kind regards g E I R
it could be really bad geometry and the computer doesnt know what to do.
post the import settings used. maybe someone who knows 3ds import can help.
Please ALWAYS supply an example .blend file with any support question. Guessing games are so tiresome.
My guess is: you’ve got objects hidden using the ‘h’ key that you’ve forgotten about. They’ll still render even if they’re hidden in the viewport. You might try an Alt-h to see if anything pops up.
