Hi guys, any help will be appreciated. I have been working on a monkey character for some time now, playing with various settings and textures. Recently, renders started to appear with the teeth of the character and the tongue and gums having black spots. What’s odd is that it is the same texture as the rest of the body, which is unaffected. Any suggestions?
I’m not a Pro at blender, but it looks like some of the hair particles of the facial hair may have gotten in the mouth. That’s the best explaination I can think of. Try removing the hair and see if the problem still happens.
Did you accidentlt duplicate those objects so you have two object inexctly the same location, duplicated in edit mode which would require you to remove doubles.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I’ve checked the mesh and there’s no duplication, and I removed the particle system before rendering this latest pic of just the affected part of the model. It looks to me like a render bake that’s gone mutant. In my playing I have baked textures and one full render bake. I discarded these though. It looks that I might have interrupted a texture bake and the program is refusing to let it go for this particular part of the mesh ?
A quick note if it helps others. I removed a bump map texture which was mapped to a second UV layout of just the face, and that fixed the problem. I then loaded the bump map back in, exactly as before, and all was still OK. Go figure.
