Blank spaces/distortion in baked Normalmap

Hello people, I wanted to try using normalmaps on a minotaur leg sculpt I did. I first created a low poly model by decimating the original model and then followed these steps http://cgcookie.com/blender/2010/06/30/normal_maps_blender_2_5/ to generate a normalmap.

However, I got a distorted image with blank spaces.

Did I miss something? I played around with the seams a little trying to fix it, I realize they are not optimal in the current image




Edit: Nevermind I figured out my mistake. Obviously the models need to be in the same place otherwise the normals just get projected on the other model from the side -.-

It even said so in the comments of the tutorial, which I found after I figured it out
