Blender 2_27 won't uninstall

I wanted to upgrade to 2.28, so I thought I would uninstall 2.27 first.

Go to the Add/Remove Programs feature in Win98, select Blender 2.27, and it removes the Divx Player 2.1 from my computer.

Anyone else have this problem?

I can delete the stuff manually, but now I’m stuck with the Blender 2.27 entry in the Add/remove program window. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

Just tried it: No problem, except that I now have to reinstall Blender 2.27 :expressionless:

Sorry, hope you didn’t lose anything.

It’s strange that one program would delete another like that. I did change the directory ‘Blender Foundation’ to ‘Blender_Foundation’ as I store my Python scripts beneath this directory, and some python scripts don’t like spaces in the path. Maybe that’s what caused the problem.

I guess I should have uninstalled via the Blender2.27 entry under the start menu. I just checked and while the menu still exists, there are no sub-menus below it now.

I’ll let Norton SystemWorks clean up the registry. Hopefully, that’ll also remove the entry in the ‘Add/Remove Programs’ feature in the control panel.

Thanks for your help.
