Blender 2.28 and FreeBSD 5.0-Current

I guess if all else fails, I can always install 2.20 from the ports tree, but at any rate, I downloaded Blender-2.28a-freebsd-4.7-i386 lastnight and burned it to a CD from my ibook to put on my desktop running FreeBSD 5.0-Current.

When I placed the file on my KDE desktop and click on it i get an “application not found” error. Then when I try to launch from shell I get “shared object libSDL-1.1.so.5 not found”.

Any ideas on this?

Install SDL http://www.libsdl.org or from ports. SDL is used by the sequencer’s audio support.
