blender 2.32

Well for pp who din’t followed CVS commit, blender 2.32 is comming out in the next few day(s). And i’m realy exited about that, 'cause with all the new feature this release will have it is clear it will become a release to remember, sort of a new standard in the blender community( think of raytrace and yafray!), and it also mark the begening of serious book printing (2.32 manual). i want to thanks all coders for this. I’m in the community since november and i’m already addict. I also started to follow development and Commit. even try to understand the code.

So make this new 2.32 a great day!

oooOOOOoo nice splash :smiley: Btw anyone know if the raytracer is going tobe incorperated in to the mac release? Cuz I know it wasn’t in the CVS builds for the mac :frowning:

that splash screen is awesome! is there a newsletter or something that i can get that talks about the dev status of the new version?

Gabio: The credit for this particular splash screen graphic goes to @ndy, not Ton - Ton just uploaded it.

mr_bomb: All of the recent changes in Blender work across platforms. The raytracer was most definitely in the CVS builds for the Mac and will be in 2.32 as well.

ben_force: All of the significant changes, additions, bug fixes should be mentioned in the 2.32 release notes document, which will come along with the release. Read it carefully, everyone! :slight_smile:

Ooh Great :o, first of all, that splash if cool, I was wondering if I could contact Ton, maybe I can design a splash too for a blender release, because I like that style, and I’m always trying to make such art.
Anyways, blender 2.32 will rock the crap out of my pc, I’m really looking forwards to it, and purchasing the Guide too and use it over the whole year, to begin my own tutorials, and know more about blender’s new stuff.

The 2th I hope wich is added finnally, the game engine, I don’t know if it’s done, but when it is, it should be a great +++ for the blender 2.32, and when it’s not in it, I wait another weeks too see when it will be inplanated. But without engine the release wouldn’t be bad, because I still have 2.25 here. :smiley:

I think eveyone wants to know “If it’s going to have a game engine” can someone please put all our minds at ease please ?

I don’t know if the game engine will be disabled or not, but in any case, it won’t be working. Kester is still working very hard on getting it up and running in tuhopuu ( see the logs: http://www.blender.org/pipermail/tuhopuu-cvs/ ), but these changes are not in bf-blender.

there will be no game engine in 2.32.

But it will be a very nice release- as all of us who have been using cvs builds know. Thanks to all the coders.

Everyone is really an overstatement. I’d be suprised if more than 25% of the user base use Blender for the game engine.
