blender 2.43 Slow as a sleeping turtle

I had blender 2.42. Windows got reinstalled because the computer was too slow,
but blender ran fine. I just installed blender 2.43, and with nothing in a scene,
it runs like I had 100,000 vertice in 2.42.

Is there something I haven’t installed (only installed blender installer for windows)?
Is 2.43 slower than 2.42?

Is it slow on operation or in rendering ?

What video card? ATI? Have you searched for the ATI fix?

You did install your graphics card drivers properly when reinstalling windows?

Yeap! Get the latests drivers for your graphics card!! …I had this problem many times;)

2.43 is as responsive as 2.42. No difference. Your other graphics are fine? You can see the desktop? You probably have an OpenGL problem as mentioned above.

Maybe be a little slower.

I didn’t try rendering, but operation is slow.

I didn’t. maybe that will speed blender up. Thanks a lot, you’ve all been
very helpful.
