I’ve recently come up with this problem - I don’t really know how to describe therefor I don’t know what to search for.
When I start blender 2.49b the version-information apears an the rest stays gray. When I start hovering over this gray space some interface buttons decide to apear. That’s basically it.
I’m running a Windows7 64Bit OS with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 graphic card.
Been working on a projekt lately and all has been working fine until I updated my graphic cards driver. I guess it’s somehow related but I can’t really pin it down. Anybody come across that problem before ?
although you are using 2.49 the support for that has generally stopped and people have started moving to the newer stable 2.59.2 or 2.60. because those are currently being worked on and generally have more support…might i suggest switching?
I hoped there might be an option that updated drivers kindof change or something. Maybe some OpenGL thing ?
Going back to the old dirver would suck but I’ll try that if I can’t find any other solution.
Moving up to 2.5 or 2.6 is currently not an option. Had incompatibility problems working with diffrent version in the past and I haven’t had a chance to tinker around with the newer versions.
In his defense, there are still a lot of very good scripts from 2.49 and basic features ( like a GOOD destructive bevel, and importing smoothing groups from obj files in a way that actually works ) that have yet to be fully implemented in 2.6
