I’m using the Blender Sintel Edition (2.5beta) and found a video on blendercookie on how to use Imageplanes.
In the video, it seems quite easy: Just enable the addon, then use it. Well, back in reality I enabled the addon and - woom - the menu item is not available! It’s grey and only title as the python command “import.images_as_planes”.
Is there a chance to get this running or do I have to wait until the beta phase is over?

The addon is working for me but I’m using a recent version from svn, r33825.
There is talk of the newest official beta release, 2.56, being released by the end of this week. If you can’t wait that long, you can get a recent build from graphical.
