blender 2.5 small issue

I recently got the blender 2.5 and the thing where u can move around using alt and space dosent work. I wanna be able to move around like that. How do i do that? Is there another key that does that?

Could you be more specific?

Sounds like you are trying to mix Adobe and Cinema 4D shortcuts together.

Try the Middle Mouse button drag.
Try the SHIFT-Middle Mouse button drag.

Also, with your mouse in the 3D viewport try SHIFT-F for fly mode.
