Thanks a lot Dman…

Thanks in advance

It’s in the scene window, called Anti-Aliasing.

much appreciated…thanks

I am delighted to see that somebody is making the effort to offer up-to-date tutorials. Before the stable release of Blender’s next gen is even released! (Applause!)

This is so refreshing. After all the time that I’ve spent getting stuck on tutorials with obsolete information (based on much older versions of Blender), I cannot find the words to explain just how happy I am to see that you’ve gone out of your way to offer these tutorials.

I’ll still hold onto 2.49 for a while after I’ve installed 2.50. I’m not just learning how to use Blender. I’ve been trying to also learn how to create 3D models and do all the other cool stuff and am fully dependent on building my skills via free written tutorials that I copy to the tutorial folder I created on my hard drive.

Any way that I can download these tutorials to my hard drive? I’m on dial - up and only go online when I’ve decided that it’s too late for people to ring the phone here.

Thanks a zillion!

You’re welcome. I like sharing tutorials. Because I love Blender and Blender community. This completely free program may free everyone’s mind.

Btw, you can download all the tutorials here: (All files have *.swf extention. Use Swf Opener program to open those files)

I doubt if I would have missed the download button had it not been for the evolving headache. Good deal!

And yes, I love Blender, too. This is the absolute best (no holds barred) free 3D modeling plus program I found. I thought that when I started on 2.45. I get jazzed every time the Blender developers release an even sweeter version with more perks.

Hi Demohero,

It is November but there is still nothing on Bleneder.org ?

What is or what will be the difference between between download from Blender.org and graphicall.org ?

I am very new to Blender, love it, it is like a drug but the new 2.5 interface is pretty confusing after I just touched the basics in 2.49

I want to make sure I download the “good” version and stick with it.

So many things to learn but so little time …

graphicall.org builts are not official. They are for testing. You can’t find any stable 2.5 version of Blender until 2.6 release.

I added a two new short tutorial about changing key maps and basic hotkeys in Blender 2.5. It’s on my first message.

I added Maya to Blender 25. hotkey configuration tutorial. Look at my first message. :eyebrowlift:

Demo Hero, It’s really great you are doing these.

I was wondering, is it possible to save out the Maya Keys configuration files in such a way that someone could just use it, rather than having to go through the step by steps? Maybe Zip up the config files so they can simply be overlaid over the default Blender directories?

Is such a thing possible?

I thought I saw someone mention in the development thread (maybe a different thread) that you can save out the keymap,py, open it in the text editor window and run the script. It would change the keymaps for you and you’d just have to save defaults (attempting it, it seems to add a second Blender configuration in the drop down of the input window in user preferences).

You may need to hit restore all to get the settings of the new profile to become active if it doesn’t immediately change.

Check the tutorial file. :eyebrowlift:

thank you demohero for putting that list together. those links were very helpful

Ok I have a problem. I made a character in 2.49b and transferred to 2.5 alpha 0. It looks like my ipo drivers were erased in the process so where do I got to remake the ipo drivers? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Hiya I made some video tutorials about rigging a character (specifically the feet and legs) in Blender 2.5.

Setting up ipo drivers is covered in this one.

Watching the video just before it might help to clarify what I’m trying to do in this video (or at least why I’m trying to do it) but it shouldn’t be 100% necessary, you can just watch that one video.

If you want to see the whole series, then you can watch this playlist. There are 10 videos in total and they cover an IK foot roll setup, knee control, a funky foot tumble control and IK/FK switching. Hope this is helpful.
