Blender 2.53 r30970 GLSL uses different shaders?

Around r30970 it would seam that the shaders changed? When I load up the startup file in r30970, then load it up in an earlier version, they look completely different but use the exact same material and lighting settings. Is this a bug, or a new feature?

It’s probably the color management, it’s not integrated into the glsl stuff in 2.53 but was later integrated. To test this in the blender build with the brighter cube turn off color management and see if they then are the same.
Also notice that with the glsl color management implementation the glsl shading brightness is much closer to if you were to render the scene.
