Blender 2.57.1 GE Animation Question.

I’ve been ripping my hair out trying to get an animation to play in blender’s GE. Can any one help?

-I’ve followed the tuts
-I’ve searched endlessly through forums to see what I might be missing.

This is what I want to have done:

I have a flying ship that “floats” up and down while the actions are idle. Push up ship animated floating forward slightly, and moves forward as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I’m a noob at all this, just started a couple of days ago.

Thanks

Try using the F_Curve Actuator instead of Shape Action. I think you can probably change the Controller to And I think you had it at Xor (not that it makes a difference).
Hope it helps

Not really sure how to use an F_curve/ what that is. Can you give me a step by step on how to set that up?

This is what he means.
However, you’ve used global positioning coordinates, so the engine wont move if you use motion actuators.
You’ll have to set local positioning.

I’m soooooooo Noob… I have no idea what GPC are. How do you set local positioning?

Hey, I have the answer… I was with the same problem… and it’s so easy to fix…
Here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXiHdqw4B1w
This tutorial covers shape key usage.

Do the stuff that the video teaches and use the logic bricks to create Shape Actuator and insert the frames and/or action to be realized.

That’s about it. Good luck!

Thanks guys. I finally figured it out. It’s all coming together now.
