Hi,
I’m trying to use blender 2.59 but I’d like to resolve the problem I’m experiencing before getting into learning blender further.
The problem is that when I close blender via File>Quit, its process does not end & I can still see it using ‘top’ and it is eating up 100% CPU. My system is dual core so it isn’t causing my system much of a problem but I’d like to fix it. If I run blender by double-clicking its icon I have to kill it manually via the command line. I have now just started blender via the command line to see if there were any useful messages & found the following information:
zippy@debian:~/special/other/blender/blender-2.59-linux-glibc27-i686$ ./blender
ndof: dead zone set to 0.10
connect failed: No such file or directory
ndof: spacenavd not found
AL lib: pulseaudio.c:612: Context did not connect: Connection refused

^C
zippy@debian:~/special/other/blender/blender-2.59-linux-glibc27-i686$
I am able to stop the process simply by Ctrl+C from here.
My system is 32-bit Debian 6 Squeeze with all security updates etc. My system is 2.4Ghz with 4Gb RAM, ATi graphics using fglrx. Has anyone else got this problem & is it fixable?
Thanks.
