Congratulations in squashing the bugs

Thank you Sanctuary!

Really the update should be advertised in the blender homepage…

Glad to see this. I was trying to render out an animation last night using BI with compositing, and Blender kept freezing up about 20-30 frames into it. Maybe this one has a fix for that. I’m downloading my favorite graphicall build too, just in case…

it is a r 58536

Aoutch!
It’s quite a while i haven’t used Blender (I must shamefully admit!). And few “tiny” things have changed… It all looks great, but i’ll have to go to the the dedicated forum threads to find out how to manage them!
Thanks for this new release, anyways.

I guess we’ll see b-release before 2.69.

Might just. I’ve been getting a weird freeze up in Blender that wasn’t happening a few weeks ago. When rendering an animation in BI using the Cookie Flexrig v1.2.2, Blender stops responding after rendering a number of frames. GLSL renders do just fine, btw. This is Windows 8, 64 bit, i7, 8 GB RAM. It happens in my favorite graphicall build, too, the one by alb3530. I’ve been trying to isolate the cause. It’s pretty random, though, making it hard to figure out. There’s not much point filing a bug report that says “Blender randomly stops responding (and has to be killed in the Task Manager) in the middle of a render,” is there?

Do report when you have a little piece of information or a blend with reproductible problem.
Work with console window showed. Maybe some info will appear on it while the freeze.

Of course. I rendered the animation using Cycles, and it worked fine. It took a lot longer to render, as Cycles usually does, but there were no stability issues. The problem does not appear to be with my computer’s hardware or operating system.

Loss of objects in layers with 2.68a r58700 from the daily builds on ubuntu v13.
At first I thought it was my mistake but now I can confirm that when saving a scene composed of layers, let’s say 5 layers, the last one does not make it and the objects inside are lost…
I did many tries and it is repeated until now…
Also The function limit selection to visible does not work completely, leaving behind vertices or edges or faces activated when doing selection in front view.
The problem is I am modeling using a background image, so I have to be in front otherwise I lose the image reference. In that case everything the is behind the vertex or edge or face that I select, get selected. This is particularly a problem doing seams for uv, because you are creating seams on the other side without seeing it and then your uvs are screwed…
They are many other issues but I don’t have time to report on them now, it will be later…

Found a bug present in both 2.68 and 2.68a.

In 2.67, it’s possible to turn on Snap during Transform temporarily by holding down Ctrl. Not possible in the last two versions.

This bug has been reported.

Why does this version not exist on the official downloads page ? I thought this was released.

The latest official release, 2.68a, is on the official download page http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/
