Blender 2.75 3D render side by side?

So I’ve been experimenting with Blender’s new 3D rendering mode, but I can’t figure out how to get it to render to anything other than anaglyph. Is there a way to tell Blender to render a side by side 3D shot? I know about the Stereo 3D setting in the Views Format box, but when I select side-by-side the video still renders in anaglyph.

So I figured out how to get the side-by-side render to export… only it isn’t side-by-side. It saves as 2 separate images, a left and a right image. This is not what I want. I want the ultra-wide frame with both 1080p images side by side in the same file. I have seen it done, but I cannot figure out how to do it. Can someone please help me?

Works fine for me

Enable views in layers tab
Make sure its Stereo 3D

If rendering an animation, set to stereo 3D stereo mode side by side in the views format

if you are rendering a single image and saving it out… f12 -> once finished f3 -> in the side bar change it to stereo 3D side by side.

OK, I have it figured out now, however when I save the side-by-side image, it comes out a lot brighter than the 2D image. Is this normal?

I’m also getting a much brighter image when I save as side by side. I’ve saved both images out and manually combined them and the difference is quite drastic. Could this be a bug in the saving side by side feature?
