  1. Is there any other way to make new “area” on the screen without the need to right click on the edge of window and then choose between “area options”. Like having a smull plus sign that was in a 2.79 version.

  2. How to have a higher resolution textures in eevee render mode?

1 - if you go with the cursor to the bottom right of the screen your cursor changes into a small crosshair thingie, and you can just drag in a direction to split the window.

not sure about the textures, I’m currently using 8k textures on a model as we speak and they seem to look fine
