This is a really good introduction for beginners! Thanks for creating this.
I would like to mention just a few tweaks that can probably ease your workflow:
- Extrude Faces (Individually) extrudes along the normals, so you don’t need to use Inset
- If you keep bridging the edge loops as the last step, you can get the grooves on the top by extruding/insetting without all the selection hassle (as they are already selected)
- The selection by normal glitch happens mostly due to float/double precision. Instead of using the exact values like 1.0 or 0.0 in “Select by Normal” node, keep it as 0.9 or 0.1 so that any small change is neglected, like this:
