Blender 3.0 idea

I have no idea how far off 3.0 is in the development pipeline - but I was just thinking that it would be VERY cool if the Blender Foundation could work on arranging a professionally published book to compliment the 3.0 release when it happens.

I’m sure O’Reilly or Sams publishing would love to publish such a thing, right? I’d buy it.

NoStarchPress has a Blender book. Right now it covers 1.? but I think they are coming out with a new edition later this year to cover the newer stuff.

Yeah, a good 2.x book would be great too.

There was a guide to the blender 2.0 series here:

It’s availiable to download, but it would probably be better to wait for a new version or until the new documentation is finished.

I saw that on amazon before. If I remember the reviews on it were pretty mixed, which I think is why I didn’t buy it. I did download it, but personally I prefer reading a book on paper over a screen.
